When wildfires raged, kindness stepped forward.
On January 9th, as wildfires tore across Los Angeles County, forcing thousands of families to evacuate, a local business in Long Beach didn’t wait for someone else to take action.
They led with heart.
RightMealz, a health-conscious eatery and juice bar located at 422 E 1st Street, transformed its storefront into a powerful community donation center, inviting anyone and everyone to contribute supplies for fire victims across Los Angeles.
For one day, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the sidewalk in front of RightMealz became a symbol of urgency, humanity, and hope.
They asked for supplies. The community delivered.
The RightMealz team and volunteers set up boxes, cleared space, and opened their arms to the city. They posted donation requests on social media, asking for:
Bottled water
Snacks and non-perishable foods
Socks, underwear, and blankets
Dog food
Infant care products
Hygiene kits and first aid supplies
People began pouring in, bringing everything they could.
Boxes lined the sidewalks as volunteers and neighbors came together to give.
A U-Haul of hope.
With the supplies piling up, the RightMealz team rented a U-Haul, parked it right out front, and began loading donations to be delivered across Los Angeles to evacuation centers and shelters.

We were inspired, so we showed up.

Our team contributed supplies and offered support, not to check a box, but to be part of something real.
